Teardrop style pallet racks, very popular among American and Canada market, are one of the most common types of pallet racks used by warehouse storage and distribution centers. Teardrop pallet rack is another name for roll formed selective pallet rack, which is commonly manufactured in a teardrop style (nicknamed because the holes on the column of the upright are shaped like a teardrop). Pallets then rest on the horizontal load beams that are held in place by mounting clips. Because the clips on teardrop configurations can be quickly removed, the shelves can be adjusted to different heights or reinforced to bear different weights to accommodate various load sizes.

Structures and Components

1.Bolted Framework: Including posts-painted, bracings-Galvanized, bolts and nuts for bracing, 2 pcs. of Galvanized baseplates, bolts and nuts.

2. Cross beam: A solid tubular construction with 1 5/8” step and universal 3&4 pin connector. Beam connectors are compatible with most other teardrop designs.

3. Row spacer: Can create distance between each of your pallet rack bays. This allows you to keep all of the rows of pallet rack organized, in-line, and spaced evenly. The quantity of row spacers needed depends on the height of the uprights.

4. Pallet Supports: For pallets that are not large enough to fit on a pallet rack shelving level, pallet supports will provide the needed extra platform base. Pallet supports create the added support by cascading over the face of the beam (waterfall type). Typically, two pallet supports are needed per pallet position.

5. Column Protectors: By adding increased protection for your storage system, column protectors preserve the condition and structural strength of your racking. Our typical 12" column protector is designed with long lasting steel and easily bolts to the floor for structural support.

6. Wire decks: Wire decks add utility to your storage unit by providing further stability for pallets stored on the racking. Decking can also be helpful for preserving stray product that may come out of boxes or cartons.
